Makeup Wish List

Sunday, April 26, 2015

Today I thought I'd share with you some makeup pieces I've been lusting over recently. After all it is payday on Thursday and they might just be slipping into my basket - accidentally of course. So without further ado let's take a look - left to right, top to bottom.

1. Soap and Glory - DIY Brow Bar - £12 - Boots
This is actually something I saw today on a whim when brows-ing (sorry) the boots 'what's new' page. I currently use the Soap and Glory Brow Archery but have been wondering if a powder would look a bit softer. This palette comes with 2 powder shades (brown & blonde), a clear wax and a cream pearlescent highlighter shade - as well as a double ended comb/brush, a single brush and a mirror in the lid which makes is nice and compact for when you're on the go. A definite must have I think!

2. L'Oreal Paris Amelia Nude Beige Superstar Look - £19.99 - Boots
I have actually been eyeing up this palette and mascara up individually recently and then saw this set which included the la palette nude, flash lash superstar mascara and super liner. This set actually ends up saving you £9.98 as the individual products would cost a total of £29.97 and enables you to create a full eye look for any occasion! I've heard really good things about all three of these products so it sounds like an all round winner to me!

3. Chanel Chance Eau Tendre - £78.50 (100ml) - Boots
This fragrance is something that my Auntie wears and it just smells really lovely and reminds me of her. The price tag has always put me off but it's something I seem to want more and more whenever I smell it - somehow I think I won't be able to resist anymore.

4. Collection Cream Puff - Cotton Candy - £2.99 - Boots
This is a FayesFix enabled want as today she posted a Everyday Makeup Routine video and this was the lip colour she used. This is such a perfect everyday lip colour with a matte but creamy finish and I can't wait to get my hands on it! The price tag is a huge bonus too! £2.99? Absolute steal!

5. Zoeva Complete Set - £90 - Zoeva
My makeup brush collection isn't anything to show off at the minute as it consists of about 10 brushes which are mainly Real Techniques. Great brushes but I don't really have that much of a choice and I haven't been able to experience different styles and qualities to find my favourites. I love the look of these Zoeva brushes and the selection you get in this set! £90 for 15 brushes is a really reasonable price in comparison to mac etc and it's always nice to have a selection of brushes to create different looks!

6. Maybelline Lash Sensational - Very Black - £7.99 - Boots
I am still on the hunt for the perfect mascara - it's as simple as that! I have tried so many mascaras and I still haven't found the perfect one but I am so determined! Recently I have been using the Benefit Rollerlash but find it leaves black smears under my eyes by the end of the day - I've heard this is a good dupe so hopefully it's just as good for my lashes but without the smears!

7. Revlon Highlighting Palette - Rose Glow - £8.99 - Boots
So, basically I don't own a highlighter at all. I'm a big fan of powder because my skin gets quite oily but obviously I lose that dewy glow. I've seen some really good reviews on this saying it's a good dupe for the Bobbie Brown Shimmer Brick and I went to swatch this earlier and it's so pretty - I need it!

8. Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge - £5.99 - Boots
I've seen demonstrations for these and I've seen how people can achieve a flawless base with minimal effort - I want that!

9. Makeup Revolution Ultra Blush Palette - Sugar & Spice - £6 - Superdrug
So, I first heard about these palettes from Kate Murnane/ DollyBowBow in one of her videos and I was instantly in love! A choice of 8 colours for £6 is remarkable value and as I'm still finding my feet with makeup at the minute I think this gives me a chance to find my 'signature' colour at a low cost. It's always handy to have as well as it enables you to switch it up every now and then without having to go out and repurchase individual shades.

So that's my current beauty wish list! Let me know have you tried any of these products or could you recommend any others that aren't on here?
